Licensed Massage Therapist
Reiki Master Teacher
I became interested in massage after learning about alternative medicine and energy healing. When I received my first massage, I thought, “What have I been missing all this time?” I was hooked right away. I loved the experience of floating in that place of “no-time” and feeling my body heal itself. I wanted others to experience that feeling.
After completing the massage program at Headlines Academy in Rapid City, SD, in 2005, I mentored with a massage therapist who has been in the business for 30 years. I like to say she taught me everything I know.
Like many others who don’t know what they want to be when they “grow up,” it took awhile in the journey of my life before I was introduced to massage therapy. But it felt very natural to me right away and was something I knew I would do well.
My interest in energy medicine has also led me to study Reiki. Reiki helps me to listen to the body and tune in to the flow of energy. Since becoming a Reiki Master, I also teach classes in Reiki. I also studied Bodytalk and became and certified BodyTalk practitioner in 2011, adding to my toolbox of Energywork techniques.
For me, whether giving or receiving, bodywork is sacred space. Space where time can stop, healing and inspiration can occur, or a person can reconnect with his or her inner self.
My other interests include reading, hiking with my dogs, camping, and crafts.
